Collector items

So, a couple of months ago, an anarchist kid named Ariel Attack got busted smashing out eleven windows of the Colorado Democratic Party headquarters. Now, given the Democratic Party’s middle-far-right (as opposed to far-far-right) agenda, I had trouble working up much sympathy for the old CDP. Besides which, I had a real hard time arguing with Ms. Attack’s oft-reported statement that the Obama’s repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell” has a hell of a lot more to do with finding new ways to stuff more American kids into body bags than it does to do with social justice. So, I noted the story with a mild chuckle.

A couple of days ago, however, I got an email that had me banging my head on the table with laughter.

It seems Ms. Attack has been featured on a local anarchist fashion website, dressed to the nines, along with this:

Note the shard of glass fan… We’ll be selling accessories made from glass shards to benefit Ariel’s court fee’s, they’re a little pricey, starting at $200 for a necklace, and significantly more for the glass fans, but they are genuine Democratic Headquarters glass, so they are totally collector items.

It’s not gonna shock anyone who knows me that I know shit about fashion. My clothes come almost exclusively from Walmart, for the simple reason that I can buy beans, ammunition, and coffee on the same run. But if all my disposable income wasn’t going to gun parts and books, I’d be all over a necklace.
