Many of these dirtbag scum that robbed store owners and patrons would, after being given money as demanded without resistance, shoot them anyway to avoid detection/prosecution or simply because they enjoyed killing. They made a choice. Choices have consequences. Live by the sword, die by the sword. That piece of traditional wisdom is thousands of years old and still true today. I don't glorify violence but to mollycoddle these animals who rob rape torture and kill innocents is to be complicit, to condone and to encourage. Thanks Jim. Rest in peace. We love you brother.

Get a room, you two. I read "Pike" yesterday on Tam's recommendation, it is low-down, dirty and mean, or rather the world the characters inhabit is and some of them are. The storytelling, scene-setting and language are masterful. Very well done, sir. I am looking forward to more in the same style.

Ha! And that's exactly what it is. I end up using it for, "hey, look at this cool gun/picture/article" kind of missives. A lot of the crime guys use it to chat, but I've never got into it. Frank Bill still has his day job at the paint factory, though, and he fires off some great ones when he's had just about enough. And nothing's better than when Matthew McBride is drinking wine on his tractor and tweeting while hanging out with his bull Hemingway.

Heh. Re-reading my choice of words above through a bawdy lens, it looks as though I'm saying that Twitter encourages premature ejaculation. :D

Twitter is my digital nemesis.
On those days I remember I have a Twitter feed, it's all too easy to toss a half-formed thought out there in 140-character form, rather than letting it gestate for another half hour and be born as the three paragraph post it so richly deserves...

It's obviously a useful tool, but one I have not yet mastered. :o
